Denisse Alvarez, L.M.T.

Massage to me is what helps control my emotions. Anytime I can do something good/positive for a person, it helps me.

Long story short, in 2004, after years of depression and being recently laid off from CPS, I saw a newspaper ad that said I could make a great living as a massage therapist. I enrolled at Illinois School of Health Careers. I met a great teacher who had lost her only son to a motorcycle accident, who taught me so much about "good touch" and energy work. I received my first certification in 2005. In 2012, I learned about The Soma Institute, enrolled, and received my certification as Clinical Massage Therapist in 2014. Having received both certifications and training have helped to develop my unique style and blends of techniques.  Every client is different, therefore, sessions are customized uniquely for their needs.
